Cross-cultural Services - Marion Knell
Marion Knell is a trained secondary school teacher who has worked with international students in London before moving to a company specialising in relocation to the Arab World. She travelled extensively in that area and particularly became involved in the support and training of cross-cultural families.
Marion’s first book, a manual for cross-cultural parenting entitled ‘Families on the Move – growing up overseas and loving it’, was published in 2002. Her second book, dealing with issues of re-entry to the passport culture for adults and teens entitled ‘Burn-up or Splash Down – the survival guide to re-entry’ was published in May 2007.
Marion lectures internationally on the subject of raising families overseas and on cross-cultural transition, adjustment and re-entry. She has recently completed assignments in Kuwait, Bahrain, Germany and South Africa. She has also prepares children, individually and in groups, for living overseas and has run re-entry camps for Third Culture Kids and visited the States in that capacity.
