Package Travel Regulations insurance

Most short term mission trips are required to comply with The Package Travel Regulations (1992). However, the definition of a package is quite broad and so church weekends and camps might also be included. As compliance with these regulations is compulsory and legally binding, it is vital that you understand their implications.

To enable organisers comply with these regulations Global Connections has been working with Jelf who have arranged

  1. Financial Failure Insurance.
  2. Tour Operators Liability Insurances (with special rates for Global Connections members).

We are currently seeking for clarification on recent changes to these regulations and so have removed our briefing paper. If you have questions do contact the office. 

Also note: If a flight is involved the ATOL Regulations (2012) will also apply - we are also trying to ascertain the impact of recent changes in this area.
