Healthcare in Benin has improved dramatically since the 1980s but there are still only around 6 doctors per 100,000 patients nationwide. Centre de la Santé is a small clinic set up with the help of French doctors, Briand and Hélène Tatford in 2006. Operating in a suburb of Cotonou, a city of nearly 2 million people, every week the centre treats between 100 and 150 people and delivers about 40 babies. German Christians recently donated an ambulance and there are plans to extend the work by adding a new laboratory. The dream is ultimately to build a fully-equipped hospital with 50 beds. Please pray for the development of this project.
