Who We Are
Learn more about the people involved in our Global Connections and MAP network.
Our network comprises around 250 members - representing more than 17,000 individuals and a combined income exceeding £370m. Together we come together with a shared vision to see the whole church take the whole gospel to the whole world.
Network members include mission-hearted organisations, churches, charities, colleges, support-services and individuals.
The network is facilitated by a small and dedicated staff team, while much of Global Connections & MAP’s activities are driven by network members themselves. Governance is provided by the board of trustees and council.
Mission Action Partnership (MAP) is the Northern Ireland office of Global Connections. While governed by the Global Connections Board of Trustees, it is strategically led by the MAP Executive.
Global Connections is the operating name of the Evangelical Mission Association (EMA). It is registered in England as charity number 1081966, and as a Company Limited by Guarantee having no share capital, with company number 3886596. The EMA is governed by its Articles of Association.
Our Board
Members of the Global Connections’ Board are the Trustees of the charity and also fulfil the role of company directors. By virtue of office, they are voting members of the association and are fully responsible as such under UK law for the direction and development of the work of Global Connections (including Jobs & Mission and MAP).

The Global Connections Council is a group of representatives from across the network members that meet to discuss key developments in the network, and to provide a forum to consider the network's role.
