Mission Educators' and Researchers' Forum
A network for those involved in mission education across the UK
Who is it for?
The Mission Educators' and Researchers' Forum brings together those involved in mission education in colleges and training establishments from across the UK. They meet annually for a residential event.
The forum provides a unique opportunity to explore issues affecting both those involved in mission and theological education and research as well as the disciplines themselves. It aims to provide mutual encouragement and stimulation to mission educators and researchers. It also seeks to provide access to ongoing resources and networking opportunities for those involved. The forums' events are normally by invitation only for mission educators and researchers from training bodies.
The forum meets annually and explores topics and shared resources in various areas such as:
- How we can integrate practical preparation and formation with academic rigour?
- Teaching other religions within the context of educating for mission
- Mission to Western culture
- Approaches to teaching mission in today's UK context
- Key trends in mission education
- Mission and the Context of Postcoloniality
The planning team consists of Tim Davy and Louisa Evans, both of whom are at All Nations Christian College.
