Description
Is God calling you to be a part of a vibrant Christian Community? Have you got a passion to serve? Are you prepared to live and work as part of this Community?
Do you want to be part of a community of Christians from many nations around the world, who encourage each other to put Christ at the centre and to live out the gospel in down-to-earth ways?
Lee Abbey Devon welcomes people and serves churches with the vision of people encountering Jesus Christ so that lives, relationships, communities and environment are transformed. It is run by a Christian community from many nations.
Do you have experience in the environmental field and a desire to empower others and bring about change? An opportunity has arisen for an Ecological Co-ordinator at Lee Abbey Devon. This strategic role has evolved through a partnership between Lee Abbey and A Rocha (the Christian environmental charity). The role involves delivering greater environmental sustainability throughout the centre in key areas of waste, recycling and energy use. It also includes teaching adults and children a Christian perspective on environmental issues and wildlife education, and advising on British wildlife for the management of the rich biodiversity of the estate.
The suitable applicant would be a motivated self-starter, able to multi-task effectively, initiate ideas and possess an ability to “learn on the job”. Good communication skills are essential.
Single accommodation and full board provided.
Being on Community is about living, working, serving and worshipping closely together, being open to being known for who we are. It’s challenging but great fun too, and if you let it, it can be life-changing.
