Description
Scripture Union is a national mission-movement, the aims of which are to create opportunities for children and young people to explore the Bible, respond to Jesus and grow in faith. We are currently seeking a dynamic and efficient Mission Events Co-ordinator to empower effective volunteer ministry and co-ordinate the infrastructure that facilitates SU’s holidays and missions.
The successful candidate will:
- Contribute to the implementation of the Revealing Jesus framework in the context of holidays and missions.
- Support Scripture Union’s holidays, mission and events programme by providing efficient central support to our guests, volunteers and regional teams.
- Working closely with the Head of Mission Events, be responsible for coordinating the operational, financial, and administrative requirements to ensure a robust customer service delivery for all volunteers and regional staff involved in the events programme.
- Coordinate the administrative requirements as per the national policies for Scripture Union events, in compliance with current legislation, H&S guidelines, AALA requirements and SU’s strategic plan.
- Devise, co-ordinate and oversee the administrative procedures necessary for the smooth running of the events programme, including holiday guest bookings and team recruitment.
- Manage the holidays and mission events areas of the website, including guest and volunteer booking platforms and their interface with the CRM. This includes working with external software providers to ensure that all systems are up to date and fit for purpose.
- Handle safeguarding cases that arise in relation to events, in conjunction with the Safeguarding Manager, and provide support to volunteers who are involved in this process.
