Pastoral Care Minister

Description

We are looking for a skilled people-person to aid with the effective pastoral care of our church. They will be working as part of the senior team to lead and enable those involved in visiting, praying and caring for anyone in need of pastoral support.

The successful applicant will:

• be a qualified counsellor who shares our core vision, mission and values, and who relishes the opportunity to support and develop our large church in its mission
• have a pastoral heart, with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to discern the needs of others
• be gifted in encouraging individuals to grow in their faith and to serve.

The postholder may also be invited to support the pastoral work of the Diocese on different occasions. This is not a central part of the role, but an opportunity for development as time allows.

The postholder will hold the Bishop of Manchester’s licence, and the post will be held on Common Tenure. If you wish to apply for this role, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
