Global Connections Forum & Event Coordinator
Contract: Permanent · Hours: 30 per week · Location: Remote (UK)
About Global Connections
Global Connections is a UK network of 250+ charities, churches, colleges, individuals, and support services with a vision to see the Whole Church taking the Whole Gospel to the Whole World—hand in hand with the global church. We connect members to enable each other, explore mission together, and collaborate for kingdom impact.
We’ve been the main network for mission hearted organisations across the UK since the 1950s, helping members meet, share, learn, and grow. One part of how we do this is to facilitate forums, which are our special interest groups, allowing people from similar roles and ministries across the network to meet online or in person to learn and build relationships. Each forum has a core group made up of volunteers from network member organisations, who help steer and guide the forum. Through our events we aim to address key challenges in mission today by drawing on expert knowledge and tackling emerging issues. Our events range from conferences such as Passion for Mission to expert led webinars and member led coffee breaks.
The Role
This is an exciting role for someone who is personable, organised and enjoys bringing people together. As Forum & Event Coordinator, you will work closely with forum core groups, and work with your (wonderful) new colleagues to develop a schedule of events and activities that meet member needs and advance our strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- coordinating core group meetings to help them be effective and inclusive.
- work with the team to deliver an exciting range of online and in-person events; handling logistics, booking venues and speakers, promotion and delegate communications, and analysing post-event feedback.
- ensure all activities align with our organisational objectives and helps build a stronger, more connected network.
- support wider organisational activities and participating in team activities and devotions.
You’ll report operationally to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), with strategic leadership and direction from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As our network evolves, the role may adapt to reflect organisational needs. Some travel within the UK will be required to meet up with colleagues and support the delivery of events.
Working Environment
You’ll join a prayerful, collaborative team culture, in which all staff model and promote dependence on God in all we do, and team devotions form part of our rhythm. Applicants should be comfortable working in and contributing to a Christian faith-based‑ environment.
What You’ll Bring
- Very organised and have strong coordination and facilitation skills for meetings and events.
- Experience delivering multi‑stakeholder events from concept to evaluation.
- Ability to align activities with organisational strategy and produce clear resources and reports.
- Personable with excellent relationship building and communication skills.
- A collaborative approach and openness to innovative ways of working.
Terms
- Hours: 30 per week (negotiable) · Contract: Permanent · Location: Remote (UK).
- Reporting: COO (operational), CEO (strategic).
