Description
Is God calling you to be a part of a vibrant Christian Community? Have you got a passion to serve? Are you prepared to live and work as part of this Community?
Do you want to be part of a community of Christians from many nations around the world, who encourage each other to put Christ at the centre and to live out the gospel in down-to-earth ways?
Lee Abbey Devon welcomes people and serves churches with the vision of people encountering Jesus Christ so that lives, relationships, communities and environment are transformed. It is run by a Christian community from many nations.
We are looking for people who have a heart and passion for young people, the great outdoors and for leading adventurous activities. Our vision is to enable visitors to ‘Discover more about themselves each other and God.’
It is not essential to have had previous outdoor activity experience (although desirable), as you will be trained as an instructor and will gain qualifications in First Aid, Indoor Climbing Assistant (ICA) and an Archery GB Instructor. As well as these qualifications, you will be given onsite specific training in the zip wire, crate stack, bush craft, low ropes, orienteering and team building activities and given opportunities to develop your leadership and communication skills. The position is residential with an allowance and full board provided. Successful applicants will require an enhanced DBS check.
Being on Community is about living, working, serving and worshipping closely together, being open to being known for who we are. It’s challenging but great fun too, and if you let it, it can be life-changing.
