Latest Prayers by Soldiers' and Aviators' Scripture Readers Association (SASRA)

Pray for the initiatives that we are currently running to share the gospel behind the wire of Army and RAF bases, and for the interactions between our Scripture Readers and serving personnel. Pray that more Christians would feel moved to pray regularly for the work of SASRA, whether through using our resources or by joining our monthly prayer meetings.

Give thanks that soldiers and aviators serving in our Armed Forces are open to hearing more about Christ. As SASRA Scripture Readers scatter the seed of the gospel, pray it would fall on good soil.

28 July - 1 August: Pray for the outreach week at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo rehearsals. May God open doors for the SASRA team to share the hope of the gospel with those rehearsing at Redford Barracks.

Pray the Lord would protect SASRA’s relationships with the Chaplaincy and Chain of Command. May they continue to see the value of a Scripture Reader presence.

Pray that the Headquarters team would have a deeper understanding of how to raise SASRA’s profile among the Christian public, that more might hear about our mission of proclaiming Christ to our Armed Forces.

VE Day: 80th Anniversary As we reflect on the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, give thanks for the promise of the Lord Jesus’ return, when He will bring an end to all wars and a peace that lasts.

Pray that SASRA staff would love, respect and encourage one another in the roles the Lord has placed them in.

Pray the Lord would bear fruit through the courses that many SASRA Scripture Readers are running to introduce British military personnel to Christ.

Pray that more and more men and women serving in the British Armed Forces would have a hunger to know Jesus.

Pray that SASRA staff would trust the Lord and submit to Him in all things over 2025.

Please pray SASRA staff would abide in Christ and grow more and more like Him.
