Friends International reaches over 10,000 international students in the UK and Ireland, each year.
We believe that by supporting international students, nations, governments and communities can be influenced for good. Annually, approaching one million international students come to study in the UK and Ireland but for many the experience is daunting.
Through our local centres, we give international students the chance to experience British culture at its best and the opportunity to hear about Christianity. We dream of a world where churches are full of international students, equipped and envisioned to play a role in the mission and ministry of the Church, in this country and beyond.
Friends International equips churches and volunteers to serve, minister, and engage with international students, caring for them holistically. We also organise a range of social events and activities for international students to be a part of.
We operate in 40 university towns and cities across the UK, and have over 60 staff workers befriending and supporting international students.
We are a registered charity in England and Wales (1094095), and in Scotland (SC 048838). In Ireland, we partner with Christian Unions Ireland (CUI).
