Global Care is a British registered, international Christian children's charity, with charity status in countries including Uganda and India, where we are known as GCare. For 30 years we have pioneered initiatives supporting needy children and young people in Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia and South America.
We aim to support the poorest and most vulnerable children and young people, through education, vocational training, feeding and welfare care. Our experience shows this approach brings effective long-term solutions, leading to independence and self-sufficiency. We rely on churches, schools, individuals and families, through fundraising and sponsorship, to help us develop new and existing projects. We are also supported by a network of charity shops in the Midlands.
Global Care is an international Christian charity providing relief, development and education to some of the most vulnerable and impoverished children worldwide. We work with children from many faiths, and those with none, on the basis of need.
In 2015/16, 12,428 children directly benefited as a result of our development and education programmes, typically receiving primary or secondary schooling, nutritional feeding and, in the home or at school, wider welfare support, counselling and medical care. An estimated further 15,590 children experienced subsidiary benefits of this intervention, typically due to an improved home setting and welfare support.
Working for over thirty years, we partner with established and reliable indigenous groups and grass-root Christian organisations.
