Job Specification - Self-supporting missionary - Engineer

Mission Geeks is a Christian charity based in Zambia, working with existing rural missions and grass roots projects in the fields of health, education & conservation. We utilise skilled personnel, through our network of ‘geeks’, to provide practical, technical and creative support and training, by means of site visits or remote troubleshooting.

As an organisation we currently offer assistance in the following areas: plumbing & electrical infrastructure, access to reliable and sustainable sources of water and electricity, website design and creative content, internet access and networking and maintaining and fixing medical and ancillary equipment.

Whether our partners be missions, hospitals or schools our aim is to bear some of the technical, creative and practical burden, as well as set up those on the ground to be able to manage these areas efficiently in the future, allowing them to concentrate their efforts on what they do best.

We are looking for another geek to join our team to multiply the technical and maintenance support we can offer to the growing number of facilities we partner with. We are looking for someone who is passionate about assisting and empowering rural missions and grass roots projects in Zambia, to further develop their ability to offer good healthcare and education by improving infrastructure maintenance such as electrics and reliable power and water provision.
