Description
Do you have gifts in administration and enjoy working cross-culturally?
We are looking for a skilled administrator to be able to support the work of Indigenous mission in Latin America.
Work with indigenous peoples is being steered by a team from various people groups from different nations – you will be a vital support for developing capacity within this team.
This role will involve supporting the indigenous mission community in the development of administrative processes and systems, including financial administration as well as with fundraising. You will also work closely with local dioceses.
Ideally, you will come with an understanding of indigenous peoples, their culture and a willingness to serve, recognising that listening and learning is key to this role.
You must have a mature and living relationship with Jesus, have experience of engaging with marginalised people and be used to working on the edges of the mainstream.
You will need to have experience working cross-culturally. You will need to be a team player.
Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable or a commitment to intensive language learning.
Church Mission Society places individuals, couples and families in over 30 countries around the world as we follow Jesus to the edges. Our placements are self-funding with extensive support in fundraising given to those who serve long-term (three years or longer). All placements are subject to our safer recruitment procedures, including DBS clearance. Church Mission Society is only able to directly test the calling of those who are rooted in UK/European churches.
