Trauma Specialists
Posted on 17 December 2024 by Church Mission Society
Description
Are you experienced in trauma healing and counselling and feeling a call to use your skills in a new setting?
Our partners in East and Central Africa need mental health professionals with experience in trauma to offer local training.
You will need to be confident in training others while being willing to listen and learn from the local context.
A strong sense of integrity, cultural sensitivity and ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
You will need an active faith which informs your practice.
A degree or qualification in a relevant field, such as mental health nursing, social work, psychology or trauma therapy, is required.
Church Mission Society places individuals, couples and families in over 45 countries around the world as we follow Jesus to the edges. Our placements are self-funding with extensive support in fundraising given to those who serve long-term (four years or longer). All placements are subject to our safer recruitment procedures, including DBS clearance. Church Mission Society is only able to directly test the calling of those who are rooted in UK/European churches
