Big MAP - sharing in partnership
MAP members encourage each other by sharing in partnership at the November 2025 Big MAP meeting

At the heart of Global Connections and Mission Action Partnership we have a deep desire to see our members come together so that we can encourage and develop the four main areas of our vision which are.
- Connecting – building strategic and supportive relationships through our networking gatherings and forums.
- Enabling – ‘iron sharpens iron’ so we share learning and resources with one another to help each other grow, develop, and implement best practice.
- Exploring – in our events, we aim to address key challenges in mission today by drawing on expert knowledge and looking to the future.
- Collaborating – the challenges facing mission in the UK and around the world require us to work together, so we can facilitate strategic collaborations.
MAP member organisations meet quarterly in Belfast for a time together which we call - Big MAP. These gatherings are very important as we take time to connect, relate and collaborate together. It is a great time of fellowship especially for many of the mission organisation reps who perhaps work alone or in very small teams.
For the past three years at almost every Big MAP gathering we have had a segment called “Sharing in Partnership” where we hear from three of our members. We have a desire to encourage a deeper awareness and sharing of experience and resources across the partnership. The organisations have 7 minutes to share - we hear about who they are and the organisation that they work with. We get to learn more about what God is doing all over the world and how he is working to bring his justice and righteousness.
These times of sharing are so wonderful. We get encouragement from hearing how God is at work as well as learning more about what resources and knowledge a particular organisation brings to our partnership. We always end this segment with prayer for the representative who has shared as well as the ministry they represent. Time and again God has been using this segment to bless, inform and help us pray and collaborate better.
At our November Big MAP, we heard from Latin Link, Our Daily Bread and Teach Beyond in our Sharing in Partnership segment. Each of these organisations have a very different focus/vision and yet what a blessing it was to hear more of the work and ministry that God is using them to fulfil both locally and globally – it was inspiring to see Romans 12:4-5 in action.
