Empowering missionaries to reach people with the message of Jesus
The story of Bikes4Mission - to the ends of the earth

Westerners can often assume every community has a road and access to public transport but that's a limited view of the world.
In reality, many communities - across Asia, Africa, South America and even parts of Europe - can only be reached by rough tracks or by boat. These aren’t just isolated cases, in many parts of the world this is the norm.
Yet, Jesus tells us that every nation and people group will hear the Good News. Those people still need to be reached.
Founded in May 2025 by Ian Read, Bikes4Mission are passionate about raising up indigenous missionaries who serve within their own communities and cultures. They believe that those who know their people best are uniquely equipped to share the Gospel in a way that truly resonates. To support this vision, they provide practical resources - especially reliable transportation. The focus is on supplying bicycles, scooters, and motorcycles, along with the necessary training for their effective use. This ensures that local missionaries have the tools they need to make a real impact in spreading the Good News to unreached people in unreached places.

Here are some stories of the work that Bikes4Mission have already started in Indonesia and Pakistan:
Indonesia
Aladdin and his wife and family work as Christian missionaries on the Island of Lombok, Indonesia; until recently they had no transport. Aladdin (pictured below with Ian Read) received the first bike and initiated Bikes4Mission.

Aladdin serves full-time among the neglected people groups in Indonesia, specifically the people in Lombok. He leads a mission team consisting of four members. Their focus is to reach people for Christ using the GPJ (Church Planting Movement) method of outreach. They are discipling several families/groups , some of whom have come to faith in Jesus, while others are still in the process of learning. Previously they were facing a challenge regarding transportation for the ministry. They needed a motorbike for their daily ministry activities as the motorbike they were using was borrowed and often used to break down, constantly costing them money on repairs. Bikes4Mission was able to raise the £1600 to buy a new Honda Vario 160cc scooter, which will transform their lives & help them dramatically in their ministry.
Pakistan
In Pakistan Bikes4Mission are working with Global Recordings Network (GRN) and Pakistan Sign Language Ministry.
The Global Recordings Network translate and record the Bible for unreached people groups who do not have access to the Bible. In Pakistan there are 77 languages, the full Bible only being available in 5! Another 12 or so have the New Testament available to them. The GRN is presently working to record the Gospel into 50 languages and to take those recordings out into the farthest most parts of Pakistan, both mountains and desert! Many of these Pakistani missionaries are currently relying on hiking to these communities, this can take hours, even days. By providing bikes, Bikes4Mission can help the the Good News to even more people. People that have never heard about Jesus before! They have just sent the first of several bikes out to GRN in Pakistan and there is a need for a further three 70cc Honda Scooters and three Honda 125cc motorcycles.
The Pakistan Sign Language Ministry introduce Jesus to the deaf community in Pakistan. The project was started by parents of a deaf daughter who love the Lord. In October 2025 Bikes4Mission were able to provide three 70cc motorcycles to enable the gospel to be taken to the deaf community in the remotest parts of Pakistan, there is still a need for a further four 125cc Honda motorcycles.
