Greetings from Ben, Our New CEO

It is a real honour to be joining Global Connections. Having worked in several member organisations over the last 25+ years, I have loved seeing the desire to connect & equip the church being outworked through the various ministries.

If I have learnt anything from my now ailing rugby career, it is that we are much stronger when we work together. Individual skill and brilliance are to be celebrated but it is rarely a match for what can be accomplished through a team that helps bring the best out of each other.

The scale of the change we want to see in our world is bigger than any of us could hope to achieve on our own. Imagine what might be possible if we all joined together as His family?

The numerous often unseen acts of service that you are collectively engaged in is where I believe real change happens. As Helen Keller recognised, “The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of tiny pushes of each honest worker."

In starting this new role, my desire is to listen, encourage and respond to what you as members are saying and I am delighted to be joining in the middle of the listening exercise being run by the Global Connections team. I look forward to the chance to connect and am excited to explore what God might enable us to do together.
