Last week it was wonderful to gather together as a group of CEOs from across the network in Northampton. Thank you to all of you who were able to make the journey to be there. It is so special to be able to share and pray with each other.
We started some really important discussions around:
- How we are engaging with and involving the next generations.
- Exploring the opportunities around business as mission.
- Our personal and collective responsibility to develop future leaders.
We would like to thank Dan and Marina Randall (Nxt Move), Ben Stanley (All Nations trustee) and Rev Dr Kate Coleman (Next Leadership) for leading our discussions in these areas.
Last year we listened and sought God for the future direction of the network. We have now produced a refreshed mission and vision statement to help articulate what we feel God is leading us into. You can see this full statement here: link to statement.
In seeking to be a part of God’s work in seeing the Whole Church take the Whole Gospel to the Whole World, our mission as a network is to connect mission-hearted organisations, churches and individuals. Through enabling each other, exploring mission together and collaborating, we work to see His kingdom come.
As we move forward towards this goal, we have identified five focus areas for the year ahead, that we would like to explore together to see where God might take us. These are:
- Exploring opportunities to enable the network to see the next generations engaged more in mission.
- Deepening relationships within the network, connecting members into strategic and supportive relationships and exploring possible collaborations.
- Developing our programme of events, in-person and online, to explore issues that are key to the future of mission.
- Investigating new possible areas of work for the future of the network, including the area of leadership development.
- Broadening our income base to ensure the long-term sustainability of the network.
We’re excited about what God has next for us as a network and as part of His global church. We hope we will all be encouraged and blessed as we serve Him on this journey together. We want this to be His network where we can all play an equal part in shaping and contributing towards the growth of His kingdom. If you feel you could contribute and would like to be included in any of the focus areas identified above, or through something not stated here, please do reach out. We would love to hear what God is laying on your heart and if there is anything we can do to help support and encourage you in that, please say.
