Are there any discounts available?

If your church or organisation is a member of Global Connections or MAP you will receive a 33% discount on all UK salaried and voluntary listings.

Members also receive a free voucher to list up to 30 mission opportunities during a 12-month period – this includes short-term programmes in the UK and overseas, and longer-term international opportunities.

How many people are likely to see my advert?

It’s hard to say! But the UK jobs section of our website was visited by over a quarter of a million visitors in 2022. In addition, we have thousands of individuals signed up to receive an email alert whenever a job matching their requested criteria is published. We also post all UK job vacancies on our social media platforms Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, which have an extensive reach between them.

How will I know exactly how many people have seen my advert at the end of the listing period?

How do I pay to advertise?

Payment is made directly through our website once your job is listed. Just fill in the details for the role you wish to advertise, continue to checkout, enter your contact and payment information, and the payment will be taken.

When will my advert go live on the website?

As soon as you have filled in all the details of your listing and completed payment, your job will go live immediately.

Can I edit my advert once it has gone live?

Yes you can – just make sure you are logged in to your account, click on ‘My Adverts’ on the left-hand side of the page, and then click the ‘Edit Advert’ button on the relevant job.

Who else advertises with you?

You can see our frequent advertisers on the advertise with us page – or just look on the UK jobs page to see the whole list of those advertising with us right now.

Can I advertise more than one role in a single advert?

If the role is exactly the same but you need a number of different people doing the same role in different places (for instance, Staff Workers - in Cambridge, Lancaster and Falmouth etc), then it's a yes. Please go ahead and post the role and choose the different counties the role relates to.

If you are posting different roles (with different titles and different job descriptions) then we're sorry, but it's a no. The reasons that we adopt this approach, a fair and consistent approach with all advertisers: one advert, one role, at one price; the search filters and job alert emails we send out are based on people's specific preferences and are designed to place each job directly within the appropriate audience; jobseekers signing up with us only expect to receive information about the jobs that are relevant to them. Can I advertise a role that does not have an Occupational Requirement (OR) for the postholder to be a Christian?

Yes you can. We recognise that not every role you advertise will necessarily fulfil the criteria for an Occupational Requirement, for example, some admin and finance roles.

But if you do ask for an Occupational Requirement for the postholder to be a Christian, it's definitely worth double-checking that you can fully justify that requirement. See The Equality Act - occupational requirement for further information about this.

Do you only accept advertisements from Christian organisations and churches?

As a Christian jobs website, Global Connections Jobs & Mission primarily serves the evangelical constituency within the UK Church. Our jobs and mission opportunity advertising service is offered especially for our own network members, but is extended to other users by agreement.

We will therefore generally accept adverts from organisations and churches who have a clear Christian ethos and who are part of the wider evangelical constituency in the UK.

Global Connections reserves the right to suspend or not to accept an advertisement for any good reason if they deem it to be in the best interest of the network or GC's good reputation. Read our full Terms and Conditions for Advertising.

Will I get a refund if we end the advertisement before the designated closing date?

The price you pay for the listing period you choose is the same however long you keep the advert up for within that time frame - even if you decide to close early. However if there are extenuating circumstances - for example you have had to suddenly stop your recruitment process - we would be more than happy to consider these on a case-by-case basis.
