Join us for our first ‘Youth Ministry’ course. Drawing on 25 years of experience working with young people in a variety of contexts, and an MA in Mission with a youth specialism, Bob will help us to explore the theology, the cultural landscape, and what simple steps every church can make to become more inclusive, accessible and engaging for young people within their communities.
The course will also be presented by special guests from across the youth ministry field and will leave you feeling equipped and inspired to see communities transformed, and young people coming to know Jesus.
Starting at 10.30am on Tuesday May 13th, and concluding at 3.30 pm on Thursday, May 15th, there will be teaching, worship and prayer, as well as a chance to gather with like-minded people at the wonderful Yarnfield Park in Stone. The course fees of £300 cover your accommodation, food and refreshments, and all course materials.
TOPICS
Across the three days we will dive into the theology of evangelism and young people, and exactly what is the Gospel. Moving on to exploring youth culture and engagement, and then digging into the nuts and bolts of how we might engage young people, whether that be through relational, contextual, the arts, proclamation, schools, detached, and other means. Whether you are just starting out, or looking for a whole load of fresh inspiration and ideas, then this course is for you.
SPEAKERS
Alongside Bob, we will also be joined by Jon Sewell, who across his ministry has engaged with thousands of young people, through the arts, and through relational means.
Also joining us will be Dom Conidi, a previous headteacher, and now Regional Mission Lead for Scripture Union.
