The Innovation and Technology Team Lead is a vital senior role within Pioneers Media, serving on the Leadership Team and providing vision, strategic oversight, and technical direction across all digital platforms and innovation.
This role ensures that Pioneers Media’s technology infrastructure — including systems, services, and hardware — is secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with our mission of advancing the gospel among least-reached peoples. The post holder carries accountability for information security and IT risk management for the UK-registered charity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Casting and implementing a clear vision and strategy for innovation and technology
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a distributed Innovation & Technology team
- Overseeing the development, maintenance, and security of core technology platforms
- Acting as the accountable lead for information security and IT risk
- Serving as the final escalation point for complex technology issues
- Contributing as a member of the Pioneers Media Leadership Team
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Proven experience in technology leadership or senior IT management
- Ability to lead and manage a multi-disciplinary, distributed team
- Strong understanding of information management, security, IT risk, and business change
- Experience overseeing complex, mission-critical digital projects
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Alignment with the Christian mission, vision, and values of Pioneers Media
