Mission and Mental Health Resource
Anyone who has been involved in supporting mission workers will know that mental health has a significant effect on a worker’s sustainability and effectiveness in their place of ministry.
In May, Global Connections held an event called Mission & Mental Health with Graham Fawcett, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist working with Thrive Worldwide.
At the event, Graham shared his wealth of experience and some practical tips for supporting workers with their mental health. This included looking at how we select, brief and train workers, how we support workers in their places of ministry and the role of HR and organisational structures. We also began to discuss together what to do when a crisis hits.
Through this event, Global Connections have collated a suite of resources to help you as you consider and explore this area of work.
You can now find these resources here.
