Langham Publishing is celebrating the release of its 500th book this month, Preaching the Parables (with input from Geoff New, Wilfredo Weigandt, Esteban Amestegui and Paul Windsor. Please give thanks for all these books and pray for their continued impact. Please also pray for the ministry of Langham Publishing as it continues to partner with local leaders to develop, publish, and distribute biblical resources that equip the local church for discipleship, helping believers grow in Christlikeness and sparking change in communities.

Femi Adeleye, Langham Preaching Director for Africa, asks for prayer that the trainers they are training will embrace a learner-centred approach to the Langham Preaching programme. He also asks for prayer that good Bible teaching, coming as a result of Langham Preaching training, will contribute to the peace of the nations they’re working in.

From Saturday 5 April, TWR (a Christian radio station) will be broadcasting the Langham US podcast series ‘On Mission with Chris Wright’ each week for 13 weeks. Please pray that listeners who have previously never heard of Langham will be inspired to support our global ministry.

Please pray for selected current Langham Scholars who are studying at institutions in the US and Canada: D*, from Egypt, who is studying at Princeton Theological Seminary. She has submitted her dissertation proposal – pray that the committee approves her proposal so she can begin writing. Arturo Kim, from Argentina, who is studying at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (living in Argentina). Pray for wisdom as he and his wife navigate life as a family of three! Davi Manco, from Brazil, who is studying at Talbot Seminary (California). He asks for prayer for Brazil, for justice and peace “because the society is really upset and hopeless”. *Names changed for security reasons

Pray for Christian station 'Shalom Radio' in Sierra Leone as they have been experiencing some difficulties recently with failing equipment and accidents on their compound. Pray that the evil one will be kept away from this strategic station which is reaching so many in that Fulani community. Pray for the Lord's provision as they plan to start a third station in a nearby town.

Pray for our team engaged in a palliative care initiative in a Central Asian country where it's difficult to be a believer. Praise God for a good working relationship with the local government. Ask the Lord to help them radiate the light of Christ to patients as they build this new healthcare service in such a needy place.

Pray for professionals and students to join a short-term team to West Africa in July. They will be helping to analyse the impact of more than 30 clean water wells. We are looking for scientists and technical people to assess water quality and well construction. We also welcome public health and development practitioners, educators, seminary students and pastors who can help investigate and gather information about the social, health and spiritual impact of these projects. Pray for a team from Skipton visiting the One Heart medical clinic in Athens this month. They will be running medical clinics and spending time with refugees, sharing God's love and hearing their stories. Pray for safety, wisdom and great fellowship, and that lives are changed both physically and spiritually by this work.

During March our "EasyEnglish Bible with Clive Gray" videos on YouTube totalled over 1,000 hours of watch time from the Philippines specifically. People may be watching and listening to the Bible being read slowly and clearly either to learn from the Bible or to learn English. Please pray that they will return to hear more, and tell others too. Pray with us that all will understand the word of God and apply it to their lives.

As in much of East Asia, Mongolian worldviews feature spirits. They lack the Biblical concept that they have a soul which is eternal and goes to God, with a resurrected body and is judged to face eternal reward or punishment. Thus, life aims are connected with family, material subsistence, health, career and all connected with short-term existence in this passing world. David Brainerd in the eighteenth century preached to North Americans with no result. He prayed and agonised. Indians believed in spirits, but not in themselves as having eternal souls. At last, God moved and there was a turning. Many came to Christ. Brainerd wrote that Indians had come to realise they have souls. PRAY for Mongolians seeing a Bible video online showing them the fact they have souls that Christ died for. This has been authored and produced by Bible Society of Mongolia.

Please pray for Christian Mission to Gaza as they continue to provide food and clothing to the families who have travelled home to find their homes destroyed. Pray for wisdom and compassion as they begin to run long-term, faith-based healing programmes in Gaza. “With hearts full of gratitude, we continue to witness how the Lord enables us to reach out with His love to the desperate in Gaza.” Praise God that Christian Mission to Gaza feel well supported.
