Event Details
With a newly elected Labour government, anti-immigration riots and a trend towards secularism, the United Kingdom in 2024 can feel like an uncertain place for those involved in mission and evangelism in all contexts.
You are invited to join us for this online event on Wednesday 9th October, 10:30am - 12:00pm.
In this event, Alicia Edmund, Head of public policy at The Evangelical Alliance, will help us to explore the current political landscape in the United Kingdom and how it affects mission. With reference to the riots which took place in August, she will talk into the direction of travel that this government is taking in terms of borders, security and immigration, the rhetoric around multiculturalism and social cohesion in our society and what all of this means for ministry among those of different ethnicities, faiths and cultures today and in the future.
There will be times for prayer and a Q & A session with Alicia.
