Event Details
On Tuesday 3rd November 2026 we will be gathering as a network and wider church at Duke Street Church, Richmond upon Thames to worship, pray and build together for God's Kingdom. This event is open to Global Connections & MAP members and non members and we would encourage you to bring your team along.
Last year our Global Connections Passion for Mission conference focused on the theological perspectives around our vision statement. Dr Chris Wright took us through the spiritual foundations of 'Seeing the Whole Church take the Whole Gospel to the Whole World.' A summary of Dr Chris Wright's talk can be found here.
Our vision for this year's gathering is to build on those spiritual foundations by exploring how we can build practical solutions to equip 'the Whole Church taking the Whole Gospel to the Whole World.'
The book of Ezra reminds us that God’s work is never a solo task. The temple was rebuilt not by one leader, but by many people united in purpose. Today, God continues to build His Kingdom through communities of believers working together, each playing their part in the body of Christ.
Speakers
We are delighted to be welcoming Gavin Calver, CEO of The Evangelical Alliance to share with us in the morning. Gavin is passionate about seeing the church working together to share the Gospel.
We will then be running interactive workshops led by experts in the following areas:
- Next Gen - Dan & Marina Randall from NXT Move,
- Leadership Development - Mark Galpin from All Nations,
- Intercultural Mission - Osaba Otaigbe from the Weave Network,
- Discipleship - Phil Boydell, National Director of Navigators.
Throughout the day we will be focusing on:
- Connecting - bringing people together to strengthen relationships.
- Catalysing - following God’s lead, learning from each other and encouraging innovation in challenging areas.
- Collaborating - working together to have a greater collective impact.
In the afternoon following our workshops we will have a time of worship and prayer acknowledging that 'Unless the Lord builds the house the servants labour in vain.' (Psalm 127 v 1). Jenny Oliphant from International Prayer Connect, will be leading our prayers.
We believe God's Kingdom is built through a foundation built on Christ, a shared vision, connection and community, collaboration and perseverance through challenges. Our hope is that you will leave the day equipped with new tools, and inspired and encouraged by those you have met with at our GC & MAP gathering.
