They are plagued by widespread famine, extreme unemployment and rising issues such as human trafficking, prostitution and drug abuse. The Southeast Asia Crescent consists of Indonesia (280 million people) and Brunei (461,000 people). The world’s fourth most populous nation is 80% Sunni Muslim. Over 17,500 islands and 700 languages present an incredibly varied challenge to the spread of the gospel.

In Eritrea evangelicals are growing despite severe persecution. Officially banned, these groups now operate underground networks based in homes. Many church leaders have left the country or are imprisoned (possibly several thousands). Pray for their families who often find themselves bereft of not only loved ones but usually of the income earner too.

Pray for the strategic distribution of evangelistic materials among these pilgrims and for fruitful conversations.

Evangelical churches in Italy represent only 1% of the 61 million population. Even though there has been some growth in number of churches, there are still many areas with no vibrant community of Jesus followers. Pray that many Italians would seek and find the grace of Jesus Christ.

In North Africa, many young people are becoming disillusioned with the religion of their parents and are looking to materialism and New Age practices to meet their needs. Ask that instead, numbers turning to Jesus will increase.

Europe is now home to a diverse range of migrant populations from across the globe. Pray that the Holy Spirit opens many hearts and minds. Showing friendship and hospitality crosses language and cultural barriers.
