Praise God for our new and long-term supporters, volunteers, prayer warriors, supporting churches and trusts for sustaining us. Pray that the Lord will open doors to develop more relationships with Partner Churches. Pray that church visits by our Regional Managers and Scripture Readers will be an encouragement to all who attend, and that churches will engage and feel moved to support SASRA as our Scripture Readers bring the gospel ‘behind the wire’ of Army and RAF bases.
Please pray for India, following the encouraging report from key Christian workers on the ground in the north. The Al Massira discipleship curriculum has played a transformative role in strengthening the BMB movement. Its culturally sensitive approach, visual storytelling, and step-by-step journey through the Biblical narrative have made it particularly effective among Ms background seekers and new believers. Al Massira is being used in more than 50 different groups across various regions and around 30 groups are meeting regularly. These groups include a mix of seekers, new believers, and emerging leaders - creating a healthy environment for growth and engagement.
Please pray for the upcoming release of the ‘South Asia Study Bible’, a one-volume resource written by South Asian Christians for the Church in South Asia (and beyond!). Pray there won’t be any delays and for the last stages of this long-awaited project to go smoothly.
In the last weekend of March, a Level 3 seminar took place in Ibagué, Colombia, with the participation of 27 people from the city and nearby municipalities. The exposition of the Word was shared by Jhon Parra and Dilber Pérez, and the sessions were facilitated by Luis Miguel Huertas. Please join us in giving thanks to God for the commitment of the participants, and continue praying that the new facilitators will be faithful, relevant, and clear in their teaching. Pray for Luis Miguel, that the Lord would grant him strength in the midst of his cancer treatment.
A Level 2 seminar for 6 university students will take place in Uganda Christian University in early April and will be facilitated by Isaac Nuwamanya and Myldred Ariong. Please pray that the participants will learn to know how to handle God's Word in an environment of heresy teachings that seek to draw university students into their congregations.
Pray for Langham Scholar Alejandra Ortiz, who lives with her family in Mexico, while studying for a PhD via the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies. She is researching the impact of women on student ministry in Latin America; pray her studies would greatly impact the wider Church in the region. You can watch a recording of Alejandra from our Langham Live call in February.
Pray for Emeka Egbo, who is taking on the role of Preaching Director for Africa from Femi Adeleye, after a number of fruitful years. Pray for stamina and guidance for Emeka as he leads this important work. Pray also for Femi as he continues to serve the Lord in Africa.
Give thanks for the recent release of ‘Unlocking the Old Testament’ by Langham Graduate Dr Yohanna Katanacho, who is an Old Testament Professor and Academic Dean at Nazareth Evangelical College. Please pray that this book will particularly help Arab Christians to see Christ in the Old Testament, during these troubled times.
Pray for Langham Graduate Hikmat Kashouh, who pastors a church in Beirut, Lebanon. They shelter hundreds of displaced people through their humanitarian outreach programmes. The church has shared: “Even in the middle of fear, God is still drawing people close and caring for them through His family.”
The FEF Network in France, which brings together about 500 churches from 11 evangelical denominations across the country, is holding its first ever joint congress from 1st-3rd May at a large conference centre in central France. Please pray that this event will be a great encouragement to all those attending and that the Lord will use it to stimulate even greater collaboration (both nationally and locally) between churches that share a similar philosophy of ministry.
The team in Macedonia are distributing the new book called Stepping Stones in Macedonian amongst Gypsies Muslims in Germany
