A practical day conference on understanding AI, setting guardrails, and thinking theologically

Artificial intelligence is already reshaping the world around us - changing how people work, learn, communicate, build relationships, search for truth and make decisions. For Christian leaders, this raises urgent questions: How should we understand AI? What does it mean for ministry, discipleship and human flourishing? Where are the opportunities, and where are the risks?

This one-day, in-person conference will equip leaders in churches and Christian organisations to engage with AI thoughtfully, theologically and practically. Through keynote teaching, panel discussion and interactive seminars, we will explore the profound impact of AI on society and ministry, reflect on what it means to be human in an age of intelligent machines, and begin to develop wise, practical responses and appropriate guardrails for local contexts.

Whether you are already experimenting with AI or just beginning to understand its implications, this practical day conference will help you ask better questions, make wiser decisions and lead with greater confidence.

Our speakers will be

Peter Phillips

Pete has been a pioneer in digital theology for nearly 20 years and brings with him a wealth of experience, from founding and directing the Centre for Digital Theology (CODEC) at Durham University to more recent work in the same field at Premier Christian Media and Spurgeon’s College. He is a widely published scholar in the areas of biblical literacy, digital theology, Methodism, online ecclesiology, and mission and is recognised internationally as a scholar and speaker on digital theology, preaching and practice.

Chris Goswami

Chris Goswami is a Baptist Minister and technologist with extensive experience working in the Silicon Valley tech industry. He is the founder of the AI Christian Partnership, helping Christians responsibly navigate the world of AI. A former winner of Christian Blogger of the Year, Chris writes regularly at 7minutes.net.
